Ancient petroglyphs believed to have been created by the Fremont people are being preserved in Eagle Mountain.
The Fremont Indians were early residents of Cedar Valley. They inhabited sites in what is now Utah and parts of Nevada, Idaho and Colorado from AD 700 to 1300.

The city of Eagle Mountain boasts several rare petroglyphs (rock art) believed to have been created by the Fremont people! The ancient artwork depicts three dancing figures which are thought to have ceremonial significance.

Eagle Mountain Ranch LLC, working with the Utah Archaeological Research Institute, has vowed to preserve the petroglyph by incorporating the site into a park/preserve area planned for the development.
